Justin Bieber wants 500,000 of his fans to create a "digital chain around the world" by submitting photos of themselves making strange hand gestures to the website for his new fragrance. The idea is that each fan makes half a heart symbol with each hand, and when their photo is joined to the next in line, the impression is created of a daisy chain, although to judge by the images on JustinBieberSOMEDAY.com, it looks more as if Bieber's followers are attempting to impersonate clawing dinosaurs.
The project is intended to benefit a charity, but it is also helping to promote Bieber's new perfume, Someday. The company that helps make the fragrance, Give Back Brands, has offered to build more than 50 schools with the organisation Pencils of Promise – but only if half a million of Bieber's followers participate in his digitial scheme. With just 4,000 photos so far, there's a long way to go.
