Demi Lovato blasted Cyber-Bullies on her Twitter over the weekend. The "Sonny with a Chance" star posted a series of tweets against people who poke fun at those who suffered from mental illnesses and eating disorders.
The brunette beauty, who made a bold admission that she's been struggling to fight bulimia and bipolar syndrome last month, shared a posting on her account. "I wish there wasn't so much pressure on society to be thin.. It makes recovery so much harder. #stayingstrong", she wrote.
Minutes later, she received many positive responses from her devotees. "@ddlovato such an inspiration demi! been sick for 8 years & its a fight every single day. but its a fight i believe in. #stayingstrong", a fan wrote to her. Soon after that, she successfully made "#stayingstrong" as a worldwide trending topic on the micro-blogging site.
"My heart goes out to any and all women who deal with this daily battle", Demi tweeted later on. She continued, "I can't stand it when people make fun of the diseases so many people struggle from. Not something to joke about."
Demi then came up with a bold statement, "Also.. One more thing.. ALONG with making fun of illnesses or diseases, doing it over the internet only makes you more of a coward", adding, "Not to mention now you've performed the act of cyber-bullying. Something that is equally as wrong and unacceptable..!!!"
