In countless previous interviews, Cyrus has cited Collins as a musical role model and a tremendous influence. Consequently, it's coming as a great surprise to many that Miley Cyrus is yet to comment on Collins' announcement, particularly given that he former Genesis frontman is leaving music as a result of health complications.
This is the second time in as many weeks that Miley Cyrus has been blasted for not offering comment on a particular matter.
Just days ago when close friend Christina Aguilera was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, Cyrus was quiet on the arrest and didn't offer any public words of support to her famous but troubled gal pal. Cyrus initially backed Aguilera after the singer notoriously flubbed the National Anthem at February's Super Bowl.
Despite hosting Saturday Night Live tonight, Miley Cyrus, as it is well documented, is going through a personal family crisis. Just last week, the former Hannah Montana star's father, Billy Ray Cyrus, delved into his daughter's personal problems that are destroying the Cyrus family. No matter what Miley Cyrus does, it seems, the young star simply can't stay out of the headlines.
