Demi Lovato's spokesman's disgust at 'completely unfounded' sex tape rumours

Representatives for Demi Lovato have reacted with outrage to 'completely unfounded' rumours that a 'sex tape' exists of the Disney star.

The 18-year-old is currently in rehab, having admitted herself voluntarily for 'physical and emotional issues' after reportedly punching a female backing dancer.

Last week a photo emerged showing Demi and her dancers striking a mock raunchy pose, with one pulling down the singer's top.

Internet rumours that Demi had also filmed herself engaged in sexual activity are said to have stemmed from this.

With Demi unable to speak for herself, her representatives reacted immediately, branding the rumours 'disgusting'.

'Perpetrating these completely unfounded rumours from supposed sources while Demi is in treatment dealing with serious physical and emotional issues is disgusting.

“The sourcing on this report is so spotty that it is hard to fully respond.'

In the original story, X17.com quoted a source as saying Demi's uncle Francisco Lovato had been stopping people from entering her tour bus while she was onboard with a boyfriend in August.

The same source claimed a 'sex tape will soon emerge' of the star.

This report quickly swept around the web, with Demi Lovato becoming one of the most searching for terms.

But Demi's representative dismissed the claims as completely fabricated, giving examples as to why they could not be true.

'For instance, Francisco Lovato is the brother of Demi’s estranged father,' they told Gossip Cop.

'He never travelled on the tour, and certainly didn’t serve as some sort of chaperone.'
