Joe Jonas chats on his cellphone while walking his bike on the sidewalk on Friday (October 21) in New York City.
The 27-year-old singer and his band DNCE – made up of members Cole Whittle, Jack Lawless, and JinJoo Lee – recently shared some details about their plans in the near future.
“What we love the most is just doing stuff,” Cole told Billboard before going on to discuss the band’s upcoming self-titled album. “So as soon as it’s out all we’re going to be thinking about is the next album and the next album after that.”
“We’re annoyingly positive and hyper and fun,” Cole went on, explaining how DNCE‘s attitudes are infused in their sound. “It’s kind of just our personality.”
He added, “You see a lot of people taking themselves so seriously and stopping the energy from exploding all the time, and we make it a point to wipe the slate clean and be explosive and just be ourselves, and I think you always get rewarded by the universe for that.”
“From the core of us, we do this because we love it,” Joe chimed in. “[We] do this because we can’t help but do it.”
