Drake's 'Views' Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200, Sets Record

Drake‘s latest record Views is No. 1 this week on the Billboard 200 chart!

The 29-year-old Canadian rapper’s fourth studio album earned 1.04 million equivalent album units, 852,000 of which were traditional album sales.

In case you didn’t know, the Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. using the sum total of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

Views is Drake‘s sixth straight No. 1 album, following 2015′s What a Time To Be Alive and If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, 2013′s Nothing Was the Same, 2012′s Take Care, and 2010′s Thank Me Later.

His debut EP, So Far Gone, peaked at No. 6 back in 2009.

Meanwhile, Views broke a record with 245.1 million streams in the U.S., dethroning his pal Justin Bieber‘s Purpose, which had just over 100 million plays during its first week in November.
