Azealia Banks has been dropped as a headliner from the Born & Bred Festival after going on a racist and homophobic rant against Zayn Malik.
“We have decided to cancel Azealia Banks’ headline appearance at Rinse | Born & Bred Festival. We celebrate inclusivity and equality,” the festival wrote on Twitter.
After hearing the news, Azealia wrote, “Most of the people coming to this on my day were only coming for me.”
Azealia later took to Twitter to explain that she’s not sorry for anything she said, but she apologized for those who took offense.
Big apologies to anyone who was offended by any of the things I said. Not sorry I said it. But sorry for the way I made people feel

Not using my blackness or my NYC persona to excuse anything. I am Azealia Banks and I am who I am.

Again, I say what I mean and I mean what I say. Not apologizing for my words WHATSOEVER, apologizing for the way people feel.

Because it's not nice to make people feel bad. But as an individual I have the creative freedom to say whatever the fuck I want.
