Luke Hemmings dating Selena Gomez Taylor Swift party hookupYou can't blame a tabloid for trying to make 5 Seconds of Summer 's Luke Hemmings and Selena Gomez a couple - they even photoshopped a pic of them to look like they're together, but this rumor appears to be dead on arrival.



It was pretty easy to connect the dots though after Luke listed Selena on his backstage tour rider demands and they were both guests at Taylor Swift's birthday party.



A shot taken of the magazine article shows this tidbit: "Guests at Taylor Swift's birthday party on December 12 noticed the budding romance between Selena Gomez and 5 Seconds of Summer singer Luke Hemmings. And now the couple have gone public."



As for that tour rider business, a source is quoted as saying: "He made out like it was a joke, but he really has invited Selena to hang backstage during the band's tour".



A pal of Sel's is quoted in the article as saying: "It's been hard for Selena to move on from Justin, but Luke is her best shot. He's down-to-earth, talented and cool. All her friends love him and want it to work."



Fans were quick to point out that the pic was definitely a manip.
