When the Grammys failed to nominate Justin Bieber for a single award — despite the emphatic protestations of his mother — the 18-year-old pop star decided not to attend the ceremony, because who really cares about the Grammys? Online reports that Bieber's attempt to counter-program the Grammys with his own video livestream, during which he said he would "play some new music and answer questions," ran into technical difficulties that derailed his plans.
